Frequently Asked Questions — Flower Ordering and Delivery

Ordering

How do I place an order?

  1. Choose the destination and the delivery date
  2. Pick your gift and, if you wish, add accompanying gifts
  3. Fill in the recipient's details and your card message
  4. Select a payment method and click "Complete Order"

If you have any difficulty at any step, call us on +30 210 53 13 623 and we will complete the order together over the phone.

When should I place my order?

Ideally 1 to 2 days before the desired delivery date. For deliveries within Greece we also accept same-day orders, while for international deliveries we recommend ordering at least 1 business day in advance. During peak periods (Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas) we suggest ordering 2 to 3 days ahead.

Do you accept phone orders?

Yes — Monday to Saturday 09:00–21:00 and Sunday 10:00–17:00. The only exceptions are Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, when we serve online orders only due to the very high volume — on those days, please order early through our e-shop.

Can I amend or cancel my order?

Yes. For deliveries within Greece, amendments are accepted by phone up to 2 hours before the scheduled delivery. For international deliveries, amendments require at least 1 day's notice and cancellations at least 48 hours before delivery. Please contact us during business hours with your order number at hand.

What information do I need to provide, and can I add a message?

We need the recipient's full name, delivery address, a contact phone number for the recipient, and the desired delivery date. Your personal message is entered in a dedicated field during checkout and accompanies your gift on an elegant white card, free of charge.

Can I send flowers anonymously?

Yes. Simply don't sign the card with your name — your details remain confidential. Even if the recipient asks who sent the flowers, we will never reveal the sender without your permission.

Can I design my own bouquet or arrangement?

Yes — this service is available for deliveries in the Athens area. You choose the flowers, colours, style and budget, either online or in consultation with our florists by phone, and the arrangement is created especially for you.

Can I add accompanying gifts?

Yes — along with your flowers you can send fine chocolates, wine or champagne, cake, teddy bears, balloons, or a glass vase for the bouquet. You will find them all in our Gifts category and as suggestions during checkout. Availability of accompanying gifts may vary by destination.

Delivery

Which areas do you deliver to?

We deliver throughout Attica with our own delivery network, across all of Greece through the Cosmoflora network of partner florists, and to more than 80 countries worldwide.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is free within the Athens metropolitan area. For the rest of Greece and international destinations, delivery is also free in accessible areas covered by a partner florist (cities, towns, island centres); in villages or remote areas without a partner florist a shipping charge applies, which is shown before you complete your order.

Can I get same-day delivery?

Yes. Orders completed by 8:00 pm are delivered the same day within Attica — see our same-day delivery collection. For the rest of Greece, same-day delivery depends on the availability of the local partner florist — please contact us to confirm.

Can I choose a specific delivery time?

Delivery takes place within the day, in coordination with the recipient. If you need delivery within a specific time frame, we offer an express delivery service for an extra charge of 10 €: your flowers are delivered within 2 to 4 hours from the moment we receive your order.

What happens before delivery, and what if the recipient is absent?

Before every delivery we call the recipient to confirm the address and time — and if your gift is a surprise, we simply mention that we have a parcel in their name, so the surprise stays intact. If the recipient is absent, the flowers can be handed to a family member or a new delivery is scheduled in consultation with you. Can you deliver on a future date?

Of course. Simply select the future delivery date during checkout and our team will make sure your flowers are delivered on the exact day you wish.

Do you deliver to hospitals and maternity clinics?

Yes, daily. Please provide the recipient's full name, the hospital and, if known, the ward or room number. A few useful tips: choose an arrangement in a basket or box (vases are rare in hospitals), note that planted gifts are usually not accepted due to the soil, and that flowers are not allowed in Intensive Care Units. Policies vary by hospital, so if in doubt we're happy to advise before you order.

Do you deliver to hotels or ships?

Yes, both in Greece and abroad. For hotels, provide the recipient's name, the hotel address and, if possible, the room number — delivery is made to the hotel reception. For ships, we need the name of the vessel, the sailing or docking date and time, and the recipient's name and cabin number — delivery is made to the ship's reception.

Do you deliver to workplaces?

Yes. Provide the recipient's name, the company's full address and a phone number. Orders are delivered to the company reception, and the signature of the person receiving the flowers serves as proof of delivery.

Will I know when my order has been delivered?

Yes — your order status is updated at every stage and you are notified by email or SMS, depending on the contact details you provided: from confirmation, to preparation, to "Delivered" once our driver completes the route.

Can I pick up my order from your shop?

Yes — call us on +30 210 53 13 623 to arrange it. Our shop at Thivon 499, Egaleo, Athens is open Monday–Saturday 09:00–21:00 and Sunday 10:00–17:00.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

  • Cards: Visa, Mastercard and Diners (American Express not accepted), through Eurobank's secure ProxyPay system
  • PayPal (available for payments from Greece)
  • Bank transfer (please notify us by phone or email your deposit receipt)
  • Cash on delivery
  • Payment at our shop upon pickup

For orders placed from abroad, payment is by card only. Bank account details and full information can be found on our Payment Methods page.

How do I know my order was placed successfully?

Upon completion you will see the "Order Complete" message and receive a confirmation email containing your unique order number. If you can't find it, please check your spam or junk folder. Keep the order number handy — it helps us locate your order instantly if you contact us.

Can I get a receipt or invoice?

Yes. Call us on +30 210 53 13 623 or email sales@anthemionflowers.gr and your receipt (issued in the name of the person who placed the order) or invoice will be sent to you electronically.

Products & Quality

Will the product look exactly like the photo?

Flowers are seasonal products, so certain varieties may occasionally be unavailable. In that case they are substituted with flowers of equal value and style — and we will seek your consent where possible. Every arrangement is handmade especially for you, with great care to match the colour and character of the photo.

What is your quality guarantee?

Anthemion Flowers has been operating since 1992 and works with selected partner florists in more than 80 countries. We guarantee fresh flowers and plants that last at least 7 days, provided the care instructions accompanying every delivery are followed. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and the products will be replaced free of charge.

How are the flowers and gifts wrapped?

All products are delivered beautifully arranged in wrapping matched to their colours and finished with a ribbon — ready to make the first impression they deserve.

How do I take care of my flowers?

Every delivery comes with care instructions, and we have also prepared a detailed flower care guide with practical tips to keep your flowers and plants fresh for as long as possible.

What is the etiquette for sending flowers?

A few simple rules go a long way: for condolences choose understated arrangements in white and soft tones; for a new baby prefer cheerful colours and smaller arrangements with a subtle scent; red roses are traditionally reserved for romantic relationships, so for friends or colleagues choose other colours; and a card with a short, personal message always makes the difference.
